Should I learn Photoshop or Lightroom for my design projects, largely web-related or should I use both together? As a web / graphic designer you can imagine the different types of clients and projects I deal with, from eCommerce to the building trade, etc. Lightroom and Photoshop both have big learning curves, and I don't want to waste any of my time learning one when maybe the other would of been a better choice. But before I go out and buy all the gear with no idea what I'm doing, I would just like to start off learning the correct software. My long term plan is to become a photographer so I can offer it as another affordable service for my clients. I'm a graphic / web design and developer and my job becomes a lot easier when I'm using good quality images, but hiring a photographer can add a huge cost to the overall project price.
